When I looked up this new eye cream on Cosrx’s website, the first line I saw in its description was: “Never look tired again!” I think that pretty much sums up my thoughts on this eye cream. Thank you for reading! Have a nice day! Haha! Just kidding! But seriously, Cosrx really delivered on that promise with this new Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream. I’ve been using this day and night for four weeks now and I saw a significant difference with how my eyes looked. Prior to incorporating this in my routine, I wasn’t using eye creams on a daily basis (just lazy; no other reason). That was probably why the difference was so noticeable when I used this product day and night everyday. My under eye area looked smoother, more hydrated, and brighter, as if they were well-rested, even though I was awake for 18-22 hours everyday (I get insomnia almost every other day). This is not healthy so please don’t follow my example😅

Key Ingredients

So what could have been responsible for these effects? Well, the Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream contains 72% snail secretion filtrate, Niacinamide, and five types of peptides, among others. Actually, the high percentage of snail secretion filtrate in here should be enough to smooth out the skin and improve its elasticity. Snail secretion filtrate is known for its numerous skincare benefits, such as stimulating collagen and elastin production, nourishing, hydrating, and moisturizing the skin. It’s a pretty powerful anti-aging ingredient on its own. So the additional 5 types of peptides in this product is just like a bonus. Anyway, the Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream is supposedly targeted at people in their 30s—purportedly the ones who are already starting to deal with the early signs of skin aging. It’s also supposedly a preventive product for those in their 20s. So I do appreciate the addition of peptides for good measure😁 But let us not forget the Niacinamide! I do think it contributed in making my eyes look brighter. Just don’t get your hopes up right away because Niacinamide can only address pigmentation (if your dark circles are caused by pigmentation on the outer layers of the skin). It can’t really do much for dark circles caused by the veins under the skin. Other notable ingredients are sunflower oil, arginine, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate, and adenosine.

Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream Full Ingredients: Snail secretion filtrate (72%), butylene glycol, glycerin, helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, 1,2-hexanediol, niacinamide, water, palmitic acid, arginine, carbomer, stearic acid, betaine, cetearyl olivate, sorbitan olivate, sodium polyacrylate, allantoin, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, hydroxyethyl acrylate/sodium acryloyldimethyl taurate copolymer, sodium hyaluronate, adenosine, xanthan gum, myristic acid, copper tripeptide-1, acetyl hexapeptide-8, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7

Texture and Finish

So the ingredients list and the actual effects are both A+, but what about the texture? Well, it was surprisingly lightweight, non-sticky, and non-greasy. I said “surprisingly” because snail secretion filtrate normally has that slimy and stretchy texture. This product still has a bit of that snail-y texture but once I’ve tapped it on my skin, it sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or silicone-y film. It doesn’t cause my makeup to run, and in fact, it even provides a smooth canvass for it. So I’d give the texture and finish an A+, as well.

Now the airless pump packaging is perfect for this type of product because I use only a very small amount each time (only 1/3 a pump for both eyes already), and this bottle contains 25mL of product! This bottle will probably last me 2-3 months. I’m glad that I don’t have to be dipping my fingers or spatula in a tub of product, which I have to expose to air twice a day everyday. Plus, I have total control over the amount of product I’m dispensing so nothing goes to waste… although actually, nothing still goes to waste even if I dispense too much because it’s so lightweight I can even use it as a moisturizer😁 Needless to say, the packaging gets an A+, as well.

I don’t have the Essence and Cream from this product line, so I cannot do a comparison; I’m merely judging this product by itself. But after trying it out, now I feel like completing the Advanced Snail line (or maybe it’s just the hoarder in me speaking😂).

The Cosrx Advanced Snail Peptide Eye Cream retails for $25 on the official Cosrx website, though I got mine for a little more than half the price when it was on sale on
