Today I’m going to review four products from Blithe, which were sent to me by Style Korean to review. The product I want to talk about first is the one that I’ve been using almost everyday and have been enjoying for more than three weeks now: the Vital Treatment 8 Nourishing Beans! This product is a treatment essence, meaning it’s a hybrid of a toner and an essence, so it’s toning, pH-balancing, and hydrating all at the same time. This Blithe treatment essence is formulated with 80% bean extracts—including lentils, black beans, red beans, and soybeans—to nourish, soothe, hydrate, and brighten the skin. The Soybean Seed Extract is notable for providing potent omega 3 EFAs and having antioxidant properties to nurture the skin. Here are the Nourishing Beans found in this product:
Soybean Seed Extract (22.844%)
Carob Fruit Extract (9.7%)
Phaseolus Radiatus Seed Extract (9.7%)
Peanut Fruit Extract (9.7%)
Lentil Fruit Extract (9.7%)
Phaseolus Angularis Seed Extract(9.7%)
Kidney Bean Seed Extract (9.7%)
These are just seven beans, though. Please help me find the last type of bean haha! Here is the full ingredient list from CosDNA:
The bean extracts are great, but what I find even more interesting in this product are the beads of vitamin E suspended in it! These beads are supposed to burst as you massage the essence into your skin. I mean, how cool is that?
As for the consistency of this essence, it is quite thick with a bouncy texture, but it does not feel heavy or sticky at all. It absorbs really well and a little goes a long way. A dime-sized amount is supposed to be enough for the whole face and neck, but I keep forgetting this, so I often end up dispensing more product than I need. It also has a pleasant but faint peppermint scent, which I find relaxing.
As for the results, I find this essence incredibly hydrating! It makes my skin soft, bouncy, and brighter, and these results are also instantly noticeable. It makes my skin look more alive and healthy, so I found this particularly helpful on days when my skin looked dull and dehydrated. One layer is enough for my oily skin at daytime, but I use two to three layers at bedtime for more hydration. I tried using this for the 7-skin method once, but I found it overwhelmingly hydrating for my oily skin, so I never did that again. I’d use this essence for 4 layers max, and that’s even more than enough.
The only con I can think of with this product is that the essence does not come out easily, so I have to shake it out a bit every time. That’s most likely also the reason why I keep getting more than enough product. But of course, I’m just nitpicking now.
I think this essence would be great for all skin types, but especially for dry, dehydrated, and aging skin. I’d give it a score of 5/5. You can also tell I love this product as I’m already halfway through it!
