If you’re looking for a serum that has immediate results and amazing ingredients, but won’t break the bank, then your search might just be over with this new serum from Benton.
This serum contains 70% Saccharomyces/Snail Secretion Filtrate Ferment Filtrate as a base. Those are two of my favorite skincare ingredients: (1) Snail secretion fermented by (2) yeast derived from grapes! These two ingredients have been working so well for my skin in terms of improving its elasticity and radiance. What a joy it was to find them as the NUMBER ONE ingredient of this serum!
Other notable ingredients in this serum are:
🍃Tea Tree Leaf Water (2nd on the ingredient list) – has soothing, calming, and anti-bacterial properties.
🌱Green Tea Leaf Water (4th) – anti-inflammatory; also has antioxidant properties that protect the skin from free radicals.
✨Niacinamide (7th) – brightening; helps boost collagen production.
💦Glycerin (8th) – a great humectant.
🍃Aloe Barbadensis extracts (10th & 18th) – hydrating and soothing.
💦Sodium hyaluronate (11th) – another powerful humectant.
🌱Willow bark extract (17th) – a natural BHA.
⚡️Adenosine (21st) – anti-wrinkle.
🐝Bee Venom (22nd) – helps soothe blemishes.
🐌Rich in natural and healthy ingredients.
🐌Immediately noticeable effects: more radiant and supple skin!❤️
🐌I haven’t had a breakout for more than a month now, so I can’t really credit that just to this serum, but I’d give it partial credit since I never had a breakout while I was using it.
🐌Dispenses runny and slimy but is quickly absorbed and does not leave a tacky finish.
🐌Good value for money, as a little goes a long way.
🐌Has a pH level of 5.5 for better absorption.
🐌Free of fragrance, bad alcohols, and PEGs.
✖️My two bb cushions (Cosrx and Troiareuke) did not sit well on top of it.
✖️Though it helped with overall skin brightening, it did not fade my acne marks.
THE VERDICT: All in all, I would say I really like this product, as you’ve seen in my list of pros. I would definitely recommend it to those looking for an affordable serum that works, or in our local language, is “sulit!” I wouldn’t use it under my BB cushions, though, but I have yet to find out if it will work with other types of base makeup. Also, those who are allergic to snail secretion, fermented yeast, or bee venom should probably just give this product a miss.
This was gifted to me by Benton to review, but it’s also available on Style Korean for US$13.80 (719PHP).
