Previously I talked about the Abib Hand Cream, which my mom and I really loved because of its intensive moisturizing effect. After trying another product from them, I reckoned that “intensive” is probably what Abib normally goes for when formulating their products. I like how they don’t skimp on good ingredients, like with this Abib Hydration Crème Water Tube, which is a face hydrator/moisturizer. True to its name and claims, this moisturizer is indeed very hydrating. It has a great combination of humectants, emollients, and antioxidants on its ingredient list. However, I also found it too moisturizing for my oily, acne-prone skin. We all know hydration and moisturization are two different things. Dehydrated skin needs hydration, dry skin needs moisturization. I later found out that this Abib Water Tube (white tube) was specifically designed for dry skin! No wonder it felt a little too occlusive for me. I mean, I really wanted its hydrating power, but not too much of its moisturizing power. Although it felt light on the skin and had a non-sticky finish, I could still feel it hugging my skin the way a lightweight sleeping mask would. I can really tell this white tube is meant for people with dry skin. But for oily-skinned people like me, Abib’s black tube– which is a gel-type moisturizer– will most likely work better.

This moisturizer was one of the items in the Try Me Review Box I received from Style Korean. Obviously, I won’t be purchasing this product for myself because it’s not designed for my skin type, but for people with dry skin, I think this is worth giving a try. It’s quite a big tube (75mL) and a little goes a long way.
Abib Hydration Crème Water Tube is available on Style Korean for US$39.
