Today I’m just going to talk about the Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella-Asiatica 100 Ampoule. I won’t talk about my Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream anymore because I’ve raved about it a few times already in my previous posts on Instagram; by now you already know it’s my holy grail. I just featured it in the photo with the Madagascar Ampoule because I always use them together.
The Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella-Asiatica 100 Ampoule is supposed to do three things:
1. Soothe redness.
2. Moisturize the skin.
3. Improve pigmentation.
I’ve been using this ampoule sporadically for more than a month now and I can say that it has been doing a good job at #s 1 and 2, but I didn’t notice it doing #3. In fact, I really only notice it performing (and it does perform remarkably) when I’m breaking out or when my skin is irritated. I don’t see much difference when I use it on my good-skin days. So I figure this is definitely a good ampoule for bad-skin days, especially when I’m breaking out, but not really an essential on good-skin days.
I credit both this ampoule and the blemish cream for my skin’s quick recovery from a breakout. The Skin 1004 Ampoule seems to do a fantastic job at soothing and repairing my skin and improving its texture, while the Cosrx Blemish Cream is the one that really speeds up my acne’s healing. They make a good combo, IMO.
I particularly appreciate the Ampoule’s moisturizing properties on my bad-skin days, because I feel that it already gives my skin the moisture it needs, so I can just slap the Cosrx Centella Blemish Cream (which is actually a spot treatment in cream form) all over my face afterwards to seal everything in.
If you’re wondering about the ingredients of the Skin 1004 Ampoule, you’ll find them easy to remember, because there is actually just one 😁 It’s made of 100% Centella asiatica extract! 💚 30% of that is Asiaticoside, which works on the skin’s water-oil balance; 30% is Asiatic acid, which strengthens the skin’s barrier; and 40% is Madecassic acid, which soothes and repairs damaged skin.
Will I repurchase?
I honestly don’t know yet because I feel like this 100mL bottle is going to last forever! And I’m also about to try other Centella asiatica products, so we’ll see. But whether I would recommend it, the answer is yes, I would recommend it to those with acne-prone and/or sensitive skin types. But if you have normal skin, I don’t think you’d appreciate it (or at least not as much as those with acne-prone skin would do).
I bought my Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella-Asiatica 100 Ampoule on Althea Korea for PHP880.
