This Earth’s Recipe Set I bought from Althea last year includes a cleanser, a serum, a light cream and a brightening cream. The products were expiring some time in the middle and towards the end of this year that’s why they were offered for a super low price. I like buying super discounted products that are about to expire because I get to try them for only a fraction of their regular price. The quality is often just the same, though there are certain products that have already started oxidizing.

Earth’s Recipe Moisture Brightening Cream

In the case of these Earth’s Recipe products, only the Moisture Brightening Cream seems to have already started oxidizing. But surprisingly, it also ended up as my favorite of the set. In the product’s official photos, the cream appeared to be pure white, but the one I have, which is expiring in June 2018, is a bit off-white (a sign that it has already started to oxidize). Nevertheless, it smells and feels okay, and I am loving its immediately-noticeable brightening and hydrating effects on my skin. I use it in the evening because its formula is quite rich and it has a shiny finish. I wake up to soft, glow-y skin the following day. I love it!

Earth Recipe Moisture Light Cream

My second favorite in the set is the Moisture Light Cream. This moisturizer feels very light and is easily absorbed into the skin, so it’s great for daytime use, especially for those with oily skin (like me!). It doesn’t claim to have any brightening properties, so there really wasn’t any visible brightening effect. It is, however, very soothing and moisturizing, but it is neither greasy nor sticky. Its small size makes it travel-friendly, too!

Earth’s Recipe Stemwater Cleanser

My third favorite is the Stemwater Cleanser. I have just used this a few times, because I gave it to my mom who I thought needed it more than I did because she has dry skin. This is like a hydrating cleanser. It doesn’t dry out my skin at all. The formula is sticky probably because it contains stemwater complex from three tree saps. It’s pretty enjoyable to use because it forms a good lather and has a refreshing herbal scent.

Earth’s Recipe Gigawhite Radiance Serum

Last is the Gigawhite Radiance Serum, which is supposed to improve the skin tone and reduce the appearance of blemishes and freckles. I like that this serum is lightweight and that it smells great, but I didn’t notice any significant difference in my skin tone after using it, unlike the Moisture Brightening Cream that had a noticeable and immediate brightening effect. I am not sure if this is the type that works slowly but surely. I did notice that my acne marks have been fading at a steady pace, and it is possible that this serum has been a contributing factor there. But then, I’ve also been using other brightening products, like Missha’s Time Revolution First Treatment Essence, Dear Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop, brightening sheet masks, etc. And I’d like to credit them all for fading my acne marks. When I added the Earth’s Recipe Gigawhite Radiance Serum to my routine, I didn’t notice it speeding up the blemish-fading process, but I also cannot say for sure that it didn’t do anything for me at all. I mean, niacinamide is way up high on its ingredient list. So I think what I’m trying to say is, I’m sorry for this useless mini review of the serum, guys. Peace!

Will I repurchase?

If I were to repurchase any of these products, it would definitely be the Moisture Brightening Cream and/or the Moisture Light Cream. But I will also probably try their Energy Boosting Toner, because I’ve read some good reviews about it. But I will most likely only repurchase when they’re on sale. There are just too many other K-beauty products I’d like to try!
