Innisfree-No-Sebum-Powder-Cream-Mineral-Powder-2

I am so glad I have found these two amazing products from Innisfree. I got the Powder Cream from one of Althea’s limited edition boxes, while the Mineral Powder I just bought separately recently. Together, they’ve been keeping my oiliness under control and making my makeup last longer.

Innisfree No-Sebum Powder Cream (25g)

Innisfree-Powder-Cream

The Innisfree No-Sebum Powder Cream is a three-in-one cream that works as an oil-control cream, moisturizer, and primer. It has a smooth and fluffy texture and is quite easy to apply. I use it after the last step of my skincare routine (sunscreen), the way I would use a primer. It can also be used just on the parts where you get too oily (e.g., T-zone), but I prefer using it all over my face because my entire face tends to get really oily towards the end of the day. I have read from Innisfree’s website that it can also be used as a moisturizer both in your day time and night time skincare routine, if you feel like taking extra oil-control measures.

The Powder Cream works quite well even on its own. I particularly like how it maintains the right level of dewiness whenever I use a cushion foundation that’s meant to have a dewy finish. Since I have oily skin, such foundation types tend to look overly dewy on my skin. But when I wear this Powder Cream underneath, I get to achieve just the right amount of dewiness. Using finishing powders tend to make the skin look flat, and thus defeats the purpose of using a dewy cushion foundation. I used to have no other choice apart from looking too oily or flat-out matte. But good thing there’s this Powder Cream to make it possible for an oily-skinned person like me to channel perfectly dewy looks.

What I love about K-beauty is that they make sure to include lots of skincare benefits in their products. This Innisfree Powder Cream has the following natural ingredients:

  • Mentha Arvensis (Mint) leaf extract – naturally cooling and anti-inflammatory
  • Orchid extract – for a smoother and brighter skin
  • Camellia sinensis (Green Tea) leaf extract – antioxidant and cell-protecting
  • Opuntia coccinellifera (Prickly Pear) fruit extract – skin-conditioning, antioxidant
  • Camellia japonica (Tsubaki) leaf extract – antioxidant, moisturizing
  • Citrus unshiu (Satsuma Mandarin) peel extract – antioxidant, brightening

The only con with this product is its citrus scent. I would have preferred it to just smell like the Mineral Powder, which has a mild minty scent.

It retails for P570 on Althea, and P690 on BeautyMNL. I know, it’s more than twice the price of its mineral powder counterpart, but it contains 5x the amount of the mineral powder. And for a three-in-one primer that works well for my oily skin, I’d say it’s worth it and I will most likely repurchase.

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder (5g)

Innisfree-Mineral-Powder

This mineral powder sets my foundation well and keeps my face shine-free all day, without making it look dull or dry.  I like that I don’t have to use oil-blotting films anymore when I use this powder. It also minimizes the appearance of pores and has a smooth, matte finish.

After applying my foundation or BB cream, I set it with this Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder. I apply just a very thin layer because that’s enough to last several hours. It comes with a puff, but you can also use it with a powder brush. I prefer to use the puff, though, because I find that easier and it saves more product, too.

I have only been using this powder to set my makeup, but other people also use it for other purposes, like as a replacement for oil-control blotting sheets and as an eye primer. Some even use it for their greasy scalp, or as a deodorant.

As for its active ingredients, it has Jeju natural minerals and mint leaf extract that help maintain the skin’s oil-to-moisture balance. And just like the Powder Cream, this one has green tea leaf extract, as well. It also claims to be free of artificial fragrance, parabens, benzophenone, ethanol, animal ingredients, and mineral oil.

Perhaps a major plus of this product is its price tag. It’s only P260 on Althea and Beauty MNL.
